La Cocina never disappoints! Tonight we tried the chicken fajitas, chimichanga (get the campechano, you will not be disappointed), & tacos dorado with shredded beef. All dishes can easily serve 2 people. All the meats, veggies, and tortillas are so fresh. As always, a huge applause to the amazing family who owns it. They truly welcome you into their home when you dine.

Absolutely amazing! The experience is wonderful. The tables and chairs are beautiful works of art, painted by Marco, the best waiter! The tables are not crowded at all like a lot of restaurants. I had the carnitas enchilada burrito, a wet burrito to me. It was divine! Huge! Stuffed with the most delicious carnitas. My friend had the fish tacos and it was filled with huge chunks of flavorful fish! The roasted tomato salsa was just delicious with authentic warm, tortilla chips. Not a single bad word about it! Fabulous! We are coming back next week to start trying everything on the menu! Thank you!

Food, service, and ambiance are pretty great at this place. I usually get their shrimp fajitas. The dish is fun as it is served still sizzling. A bit costly, but one could make two meals out of one dish, in theory. They are generous with their chips and salsa while one waits for the food. I've been coming here between 2016-2019 and recently stopped in again. The food and service have not disappointed. I hope they continue to remain open for many years to come.

The food here is great, and the service also is excellent. I'm a big fan of the chicken tortilla soup. True confession: I use it as a base for a pot of wonderful homemade soup (I add sauteed mirepoix, bone broth and other ingredients). Does it NEED to be doctored? Absolutely not! It's great all on its own - I'm just doubling the amount using my own fresh ingredients and herbs. Their soup is terrific, chicken, carrots, zucchini, onions, and other goodies. Have never had a bad meal here. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. If you don't live in Dixon, it's close to the 80 Hwy and well worth jumping off at the exit to get a yummy meal!

Great service! Our waiter, Alex, was very friendly and recommended the The Grilled Cheese Tacos with Carnitas. They were delicious! The Taco Salad was large and tasty. My husband and I enjoyed our meal.

WOW FACTOR? Yes, the horchata was about the best I've ever had. Such a great restaurant. HAVE AGAIN: Chile rellenos with shrimp was very good but a bit too much breading. Very large chiles. Very good service.
